IDHA staff, youth and elders will join over 25 other Asian Pacific Islander (API) community groups from around the state to voice our community concerns to our legislators. This year we will advocate on issues that are important to the well being of our community, such as keeping our health, housing and human services safety net intact, protecting our rights, and raising revenues to address the state budget deficit.
API Legislative Day is for our entire community, for all generations of Asian Pacific American immigrants, refugees, and citizens throughout the state. Many thanks to the API Coalition and Washington State Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA) who have provided major sponsorship and coordination for this momentous day of advocacy and empowerment.
